Wanna come on my show tomorrow instead? I forgot that I have a band coming on next week. If that doesn't work you definitely have dibs on the following week! sorry. :S
Really cool idea, and nice commentary -- my friend Jenni told me about this blog. I've watched a few original Trek episodes growing up but never really got into it. (That was more my twin bro and dad's interest). But I did like the movies and only recently started watched ST:TNG re-runs late night on tv. Really enjoying it, the script is - surprisingly to me - phenomenal... and thinking maybe I should go back and check out the original series.
The second episode with the alien (with Ron Howard's kid brother) haunted me as a little kid, but that's one of my fave episodes. I like Spock best. "I hate intelligence without discipline." (Forget which episode he'd said that in.)
This 'salt' episode's one of the few I've seen from the original! It was actually a bit morbid from what I remember as a kid, but I did like the suspense and mystery behind it all, especially finding out what Crater's role in it all was.
Very nice..... I look forward to when you get to the funnier episodes...
ReplyDeleteThanks! At this point of the evolution of this blog, I appreciate any viewers who aren't my mother :P.
ReplyDeleteTrust me; I am anxiously awaiting The Naked Time. That's not even a comment on my personal dressing habits- that episode is truly a classic.
You probably already know it has a sequel in STNG, "The Naked Now".

ReplyDeletePS. sucks to be the actor who gets to set and finds out he/she is going to be wearing a red uniform... damn :(
